Hydraulics question
| J.R. | I have a Ford 4000, (mid 1970s) with an attached front end loader, that is NOT the quick attach type. My question is... if I put the bucket at it's mid point... and uncouple the hose, so I can use the hydraulic couplers on another piece of equipment, will the loader bucket remain where I put it when the hoses were attached. And... is there any way I can operate two different pieces of hydraulic equipment at the same time? Appreciate your help.... thank you |
| Billy | The bucket should stay where you put it (in a perfect world) however if the seals on the piston inside the cylinder are bypassing the loader will drift down. the only way to stop this would be to have your cylinders re-packed. As far as running two hydraulic implements at the same time. This system is not designed for doing so.

| Sean in PA | You should be able to replace the control valve with one that has "Power beyond". This allows you to use other hydraulic equipment from the power beyond port without having to unhook the loader lines.
