3400 Ford Ind. 3 point stuck in up position
| David | I have a Ford 3400 Industrial model with the 3 point hitch, seemingly stuck in the up position. When I turn the tractor off it will eventually go down, but will lift on it's own as soon as the tractor is started again. I have the control lever set to full down, and have tried turning the knob both ways, and with the 2 position lever in both position. It seems as if all of the controls have no control over the 3 point hitch. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
| dave | I am assuming you have a electric over hydraulic unit? Meaning that the hydraulic flow to cylinder is controlled via a electric solenoid, which receives it's signal from your levers. If so then it sounds as though the solenoid is receiving a constant signal or is stuck in the "supply to cylinder" position. find the solenoid which suplies thast ram out position and with tractor running, remove the electrical connection, should hear a click, if not the solenoid is bad, if yes, then the issue lies in your lever actuator.
