'74 Ford 5000 Diesel Oil Leak above front axle pivot
|Ken Foster||I'm getting ready to buy a 5000 diesel. I expect an oldie to have a few leaks, but wonder about this one in particular.
Above the pivot shaft, where it goes into the oilpan, there is a leak when the engine is running. It doesn't pour out, but it is something I would fix if its' feasible.
Does the pivot shaft actually extend into the pan? Is it hard to reapir such a leak?
Thanks in advance, GREAT site here.
