1920 ford 4wd

Lynn Need help with ford 1920 front wheel drive pulled differential and no problems there.When i turn front wheels with tractor front end off ground shaft from fwd to trans will not turn trans locks in 4wd but problem I think is where drive shaft connects to front end input shaft is there a splined coupling there like 1 one trans end of drive shaft all help appreciated
