Electrical problem

Electrical problem

I have what I believe to be a 1960's 801powermaster. The serial number on the block is CONN 6015J and the serial number on the transmission case is S10835.It also has the "egg crate grill." Anyway it ran fine a few months ago and when I went out today I had no spark. I did notice a crack in the distributor cap and sligth moisture on the points. Should I just replace the point, condenser, rotor, and cap? It's a 12 volt system. Is this something I can do in the woods witha few tools and pretty good mechanical ability? Any help would be appreciated.

Keith If there was moisture in the cap it is time to replace it I would replace everything you listed.Yes you can replace all of it in the woods. The book I have shows it to be a 1957 model.
1957 1001
1958 11977
1959 58312
1960 105943
these are the serial numbers for the models years.

Joe Sims 3000 Ford diesel. Generator light does not come on when I turn on the ign switch. The bulb is new so I know it's not that.
