Ford 550 fan belt replacement help requested
| Jim Colligan | The fan belt broke in my Ford 550. Is it necessary to remove the hydraulic pump, etc to install a new belt? If I disconnect the shaft and universal joint from the connection plate aft of the universal joint will the shaft slide forward the ½” necessary to get the belt through? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated |
| Shaun Wallace | Take the 4 bolts that hold ujoint to crank pulley itll bend around out of way and grease it while in there.
