Ford 640 (transmission) stuck in gear

Trish Our 1954 Ford 640 seems to be stuck in gear. No prior problems - was out in the field, pto engaged, and it stalled out in a hard left turn. I couldn't get it out of gear (first) and the PTO is stuck, too.
Any suggestions?
