New Holland LS180, 2002 starter solenoid keeps running w/key off
|Craig||I have a 2002, LS180 New Holland Skid Steer, where the starter solenoid keeps cranking after I turn the switch off after attempting to start it. I then have to quickly disconnect the battery as it begins to fry the positive terminal on battery. I suspect one of the relays mounted to the firewall is bad? I had the dealer order one last year and I replaced it. I suspect they sold me the wrong one as there are two relays on the fire wall. Any suggestions?
|jacob||it could be the soleniod or the switch
|Robert Koontz|| I also have a Ls 180 that has the simillar problem, it's very hard to get the pressure switches under the seat to work cold and the seat belt connected so the light goes off. It will start cranking on its own even with the key off or seat belt unhooked. With operator out of the machine it will start cranking. It seems to do this only in cold weather around 30 degrees or less. We are in centeral Wis.
