||I removed the plug on the rear of the 3000's piston pump and connected a 5000PSI gauge. With the engine running (speed doesn't matter), the gage never moves off of "0". This action is in response to a hydraulics problem; the hydraulic lift does not work. I've replaced the lift cylinder o-ring and back-up ring, put in a new check valve spring, cleaned the flow valve, intake filter, and exhaust filter. I've cleaned all the valves under the Lift Cover as well, still no hydraulics. So, the pump is it?
Has anyone connected a gage to that port on the pump?

||The port on the pump is to bleed the pump not sure about pressure there,is the control valve working, lift lever, pull left inspection cover plate work lift lever to see if valve is moving.I think oil should spray out of pump port sometimes they are hard to bleed could be air locked or bad pump Good luck JR
||I rebuilt the pump and reinstalled it on the tractor. Further research (see the cut-away in the manual) indicates that 'yes', the bleed plug is on the pressure side (wouldn't do any good on the suction side, eh?). I saw 1500 PSI and then down to "0" again. 3 pt lift worked for a while. I'm thinking that the hydraulic intake filter is more clogged than it looked. Darn, as my last attempt to remove it was not sucessful and I tried to clean it as best I could. So, the Lift Cover has to come back off....
