|Gini Lewis||We cannot get bottom line that returns fluid to the pump to quit leaking (a lot). It is leaking at the connection. We were wondering if we can replace the line with a "modern" flexible hydraulic line.
|Jimmie A. Ryder Jr.||We had the same problem time after time out 4000 . Most of the time it had a hairline crack in around the bevel and couldn't see it but leak like crazy . We cut the metal line and put a 5 inch rubber line in between and it takes the vibration instead of the whole line . Also done the pressure side with hydraulic hose with fitting on the straight piece coming out of the pump . It works and looks good and saves a lot of money replacing the line .
|Richie||Have you removed the line to check for a torn "O" ring. Return line has zero pressure, sure it is the return line, not pressure line? Clean and check the rubber hoses attached to this line for leaks,(pinholes).
Also clean the pump thoughly, then run, look regularly to be sure it is not the seal around the pulley driven shaft coming out of the pump, actually doing the leaking.
