|pat||just installed rebuilt starter and new solenoid on tractor. but when i connect battery cable starter runs constantly even with ignition switch off and key removed. bad ignition switch or starter wired up wrong? any ideas?
|Hugh MacKay||Pat: Best to get a test light, find out at what point power starts and stops. I would almost say wired wrong, but without more info, one can never be sure.
|John M||Going out on a limb here, you dont have the solenoid right,or you have crossed up some wires somewhere.Contact me via email, since this site wont allow links, and Ill set you up with a wiring diagram to confirm you did put back right. But I do agree wit h Hugh,a test light would be very helpful!
