|william warren||i helped my neighbor get his 140 running. points were burned. replaced points, tractor ran fine. he ran it for a few hours & tractor stopped running. points are burned again. i can find no ballast resistor in wiring to coil. i assume 12 volts to coil all the time tractor is running is whats burning points. if you can give me any info. on whether this system had a resistor or where it was located if it did would be appreciated.
