|Tim||I recently had my alternator rebuilt (12volt conv)after I installed it back on it will shut off with the switch only if the alternator isnt charging, once i rev up the rpms to get it to charge it wont shut off with the switch?could the wires have gotten reversed somehow?which ones?
|DWight||Suspect you put a Delco alternator. When this alternator is charging, the induction wire will back feed the ignition coil. You will have to put a diode in the wire that induces the alternator. Hope this helps
|Tim||thanks for the idea..thing is it would shut off normally before i rebuilt the alternator..the only thing i changed was the origanal switch with an aftermarket pull switch?
