|john||My 460 won't shift. I took off cover plate and the gears will not slide like they should. Anyone know what may be the cause and how to fix?

|jim||What cover did you take off. That little plate where a belt pulley attachment goes on. Certainly not the main top cover. Sounds like you have gear wind up due to TA needing adjustment or possibly a pin out of ta clutch finger or worn out fingers. That TA has an over running clutch which is the low side drive and if the dry 7 inch ta clutch does not release the gears cannot roll backwards to release the tension. You need to make sure that clutch releases. Not main clutch, TA clutch.
