Farmall M Cam Gear Torque?

Scott Altnow Hi. I need to know the torque on the nut holding the cam gear in place on my Farmall M gas engine. I can't find the torque anywhere in my books. It is the main cam gear on the front of the engine. Thanks!
John M I dont recall seeing it anywhere either, but there should be a thin "washer" behind it to bend over the bolt to keep it from backing out. The last 2 I rebuilt, I just snugged it up real good, using some mild loctite to hold it since the washer was so used up.
Scott Altnow Thank you so much for the info! I just did as you said. Now I have to time the aux pump and the mag to the timing gear. What great machines these old tractors are!
