86 Hydro - missing crush washer in engine?!
| j | I recently purchased a hydro 86 at auction, so far so good. The only problem I've seen with it is a fuel leak coming from the fuel return rail. I'm a diesel newbie and started disassembing the return rail bolts before pulling the injectors. After pulling the first two injectors I noticed one copper crush washer was missing from the return rail bolts. In this whole process I was using compressed air to blow junk away from the injector ports. But the missing copper washer is driving me crazy. 50/50 it is in the engine or mixing chamber. . . The best suggestion I've heard is a lighted bore scope, but they are a little expensive. I certainly don't want to tear down the engine though. Anyone know the dimensions of the mixing chamber, mainly the size of the outlet into the combustion chamber? Thanks, j |
