1975 international 270A
| james Band | I am looking at buying a 270A loader backhoe and have been in the middle of trying to get the thing back running. First problem was the batteries were totally dead and werent giving enough to crank it over. we put new batteries and played around with it for alittle and finally got it to fire and start. ran the machine for a little while and then turned it off. When we started it black soot came out of the smoke stack a decent amount but not a ton. We went to fire it up the next day and nothing. We got fuel to the filters. have two new batteries. wondering if anyone has any advice or owns a machine sim to this one. thanks James |
| bill malik | Make sure you are using the right voltage batteries. if you used the wrong voltage it will burn out the solenoid on your injector pump and it will not start. |
| ken pifer | check to see if you are getting fuel to the injectors..if not, it could be the switch behind the injector pump..small inexpensive part, but a real pain to get to....
