Farmall 140 won't move in gear

Judy Ann Cook	Our Farmall 140 won't move in gear. If you put it in reverse it will go forward otherwise 1st, 2nd,3rd and 4th gear do not give us forward movement. We took the shifter off drained the lub and looked closely at the shifter forks and gears but all looks okay with no broken parts. We both lost our good jobs and have no money to have a repair place fix it. Any advise is very welcomed! Thanks! Judy
rich4	Look closer when looking at the shifter forks/gears, put all the gears in neutral, install fork and try again. Otherwise someone could rebuild a worn shifter fork end by welding for not much money. Reverse instead of forward sounds odd though.
