cracked sleeves
| Ron Bertram | I have recently dropped off a 201 diesel at my machine shop to be sleeved back to standard, using parts suppplied from Ford. They used dry ice to install the sleeves into a 1.5 thou press hole. 2 of the 3 sleeves cracked using this method. What did we do wrong?

| bontai Joe | My guess, and it is a guess is that .0015" is a bit tight for a press fit for steel sleeves. Or it could be just that the sleeves had a flaw in them.
