Agco Massey Bucket Loader control leaking
| Mark H. Arel |
I have a 2002 Agco MF 1428V with a MF Loader. I believe its a 1464 model. I was using my finish mower when i used the 3 point hitch to lift the mower up to max heigt and then i noticed there was hyd. fluid dripping from my bucket loader lever control. The boot has a split and it was dripping from the split. I pulled the boot off of the single lever control and see that there are 3 metal plungers there. Seem to be spring loaded. My question is if i remove the 3 to 4 allen head bolts that holds this plate together will i be able to replace seals or will i need special tools? Are the springs going to give me trouble when i separate this single lever contol asy? Im not sure what i will find in there when i open it up. The machine has less than 600 hours on it and seems to be a pain in the but with small problems. I bought this unit to replace a 18 horse Kubota Diesel B7100 tith 4500 hours on it. Never had a problem with that machine. Thought i was upgrading! There is an engine oil leak also that im going to have to deal with.

Many control valves do not have orings. They are machine fit.

Thanks for your response. Pulled unit apart and found a single small o ring behind aluminum plate. $14.00 for the nickel size neoprene o ring and it fixed the problem. I think ill take the seal to a hardware store to match one up for the future. 25 cents is more realistic!
