| Dave | Thanks for the help. My Honda 4518 is 15 years old and a hydrostatic drive. It now feels like I'm riding a horse as it surges when mowing only. The engine runs and idles smooth so it is in the hydrostatic I think. Any ideas on that? Do I need to rebuild or replace something in the drive? thanks. Dave

| Dave2 | Here is somthing I found a few years ago. This problem described for the Honda 4514 and 4518 that are surging is usually corrected by replacing the worn yoke collar bushing, part number 91556-VD6-003. Honda Lawn Tractor service bulletin #15 from March 1992 "H4514/H4518 transmission surging" describes the repair and list .9 hrs flat rate time. Good luck. |
