| Laurie Brian | Can anyone tell me something good or bad about a Kama 20 hp (not sure of the model #) 2 wheel drive tractor?? I am new at this and neither me or my husband has ever bought a tractor. We came across a Kama w/ 20 hours only and they are selling it for $3,850.00. I am having to do the calling and ask all the questions because my husband is out of town alot. I don't know if this guy is taking advantage of me because I am a women. The tractor is blue and looks brand new. I only have 4 acres to bush hog, so its not like I will be plowing fields w/ it. Someone please let me know if this is a pretty reliable name brand. Thanks in advance for any time that anyone can give me. Laurie Brian - Louisiana

| thingy | Look up tractor boards,[other ones],they have two just for chinese tractors,than another two boards have chinese sections,,cause I think it is chinese,have heard about 35-40 h.p. kamas,but not a 20,2wd,,you will get more response on the soly chinese boards,[probably more than you need],thingy

| thingy | Laurie,yeah,one is called the new york chinese tractor owners ass.,,the other is chinese tractor owners ass,,,than tractor by net,,rhis stuff may get deleted cause I am refering another web page??? but ....... in any case,,,you can buy a new 25 h.p., 4wd, with a 6 monthes parts and labor for about 8,000,,its a jinma,which is also a chinese tractor,sold by several places,,northern tool for one,,,, Buying a used tractor,without ant warrenty,is risky,,,got to really check it out good,,start it, run it,check fluids,check for leaks,,check clutch operation,etc,,you need to have somebody who knows a little about such things with you if you can,,unless you know the tractor and seller,,the price seems reasonable if it only has 20 hrs,IF,there is nothing wrong with it,,,but those little two wheel drives can get stuck pretty easy,,if you got any hills or mud or plan on clearing snow with it you may be dissapointed in just two wheel drive,,I think you can buy the nortrac,[jinma],from northern in 20 h.p.,4wd also,for about 6,000 dollars,,look at their web site,,northern tools dot com,,,,thing |
| DM | As you must know, this tractor is made in China. As far as I know there are very few if any "full service" Kama dealers. There is a dealer in Baton Rouge, but I don't know if they do any thing except sell the tractors and I believe their warranties are "parts only". The price is very good, but be aware of what you are getting -- a tractor with little history in the U.S. and little or no service. Buyer beware.

| ARTRAC | We are an importer of KAMA tractors and have had very good luck with them. KAMA is a brand name reserved for China's "export quality" products and is used on many different items, including tractors from two different plants. There are some advantages of the TS series over JINMA and the KM454 and KM504/554 are the best bang for the buck in the 45-50HP class. But then again I am biased. OUr dealers normally offer 12 months parts and labor unless the unit is sold outside of their primary market area (internet sales) then the price is usually discounted to allow the customer to handle own labor, we ship the parts from our warehouse in Arkansas.

| Unhappy in Iowa City | I purchased this tractor(kama Ts254C) from Jeff Alberhaski in Iowa city , am I feel cheated.I did not recieve all the parts required to operate my equipment and it has been sitting, useless since I recieved it in October of 2004.Jeff does not reply to my e-mails, Phonecalls or letters and I have not been able to find the missing parts elsewhere. If nothing else, I just want no one else to purchase from Jeff and run into these problems

| Tiny Jackson | I have a 2003 KAMA 554 deisel 495T2 engine with Approx 100 hours. I was plowing with it and put it a way in shop for night. The next day it would not start. It blow white smoke out of exhaust. Changed Fuel, filter, cleaned sediment bowl.and bled air fron system. Tractor will run on starter fluid and die. Got it to run once during this but when backed off throtle it ran but white smoke came back than tried to throtle up it did not throtle up. Gave a small shot of strater fluid and engine pickup and ran. Also changed oil in injector pump. Any ideas of what is wrong and how to fix. I have tech manuals on tractors and engines, But I have not foud it usefull to salve this problem. Tiny jackson wm1730@yahoo.com

| Joe | Sounds like the head warped and you are not getting the compression to run on diesel. White smoke generally means water...

| Joshua | If you are looking for a good reasonably priced tractor with a good waranty (3 years bumper to lift arms) check out www.mahindrausa.com I have had two models, the 28 horse and the 20 horse. both are 4 wheel drive. I would never own anything but. I have overworked them and they just don't stop. |
| bob | We bought a kama last summer a 295ts 4 wheel drive we're having trouble finding parts. Something are ordinary as a .50 cent bolt will cost us 25.00 dollars in shipping. We are in western NY between Buffalo and Rochester. I figure things like a bolt must fit on other chinese brands. Any place in western NY would would help

| Williams Sons Repair | We are in Jefferson, OH which is in NE Ohio my husband has worked on all kinds of tractors for 40 years. The only problem we can see is getting the parts.
