Cat D6 clutch adjusting

Greg Shelman Can anyone tell me how to adjust the flywheel clutch on a D6 (1952?) with a hand clutch. It works fine for an hour or so and then slips under a load when it gets warm.

Thanks, Greg Shelman

Loosen clamp bolt on adjusting collaar and turn collar to the right 1/4 turn and tighten the bolt. This is assuming you have a dry clutch

Leslie Dyer Hi,
I have a similar problem.
Is the adjusting collar the one that has four 1/2" ~ bolts in it with locking tabs folded up?

You don't adjust the yoke on the threaded rod of the operating linkage at all?

John Betts I have a D4 and the hand clutch doesn't stay in. It does not seem to have snap. How do I tighten up this clutch?
