D25U pony motor no spark
| Jim | I have a 48 cat d2 with no spark on the pony motor. The magneto cover is broke half way down and has seen weather inside the mag. I cleaned the points but am not famaliar with how to trouble shoot to see where my problem is. Also considered doing away with the ponymotor and going to 12v starter.any thoughts.

| hector gemme | Your mag should have rust inside you should remove it and test on bench.
