cat d47u ponymotor pinion shaft
| Larry Wells | ponymotor pinion shaft; I was instaling a new pinion shaft lever,When I took off the old lever the pinion shaft slid back.now the shaft doesent seem to be hooked to anything,and doesent engage pinion gear. what do i do to correct this problem? thanks in advance for any help.

| hector gemme | When your pinion shaft slid back your lever on the end shaft must be out off the notch on the bar ass. with the spring.

| Larry Wells | Hector,thank you for the reply,do you know what I need to do to get shaft hooked back up. Igot the cover off,and can see the shaft with spring on it,but dont know to get hooked back up. can you help? thanks Larry

| hector gemme | I think you need too removed the lever from the shaft and push on a little bit on after push the the bar ass with spring in front until the notch is center with the lever at the end off the shaft and pull back the shaft and reinstaled your lever but you should have a helper with you. SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH WRITING. |
