pony motor clutch wont engage

Bob Randall	Hi! i have a cat 12 road grader & the pony motor clutch wont engage. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks Bob
hector gemme	Your cluch need to be adjusted.
Bob	hi hector! The clutch is not the problem the pinion lever just flops feels like its not hooked to any thing. What hooks the pinion lever to the pinion? And whats it take to fix? Thanks Bob
hector gemme	I am not sur but the pinion should desangaged when the big motor started and maybe the spring on the lever bar ass. is brook.
john nolen	Hi Bob, I have the same problem with my D4 7U. Did you ever get yours fixed? If you did please tell me how. Thanks. John
john nolen	D4 Cat 7U. Still haven't found out how to fix the starter pinion. Anybody else out there who knows what to do? The lever will engage but it won't snap in.
