Cat 416B Front Bucket hydraulic probems
| John |
I have a friend working on this machine for another friend. I'm not sure what year but any help is appreciated. The front bucket will not lift, even without a load. If the valve is cycled, the bucket will lift about 1" for each cycle and then stall. The odd thing about it is that if the rear backhoe or stabilizer hydraulics are operated in any direction at the same time the front bucket valve is in the raised position, the bucket will lift fine. Any combination of the rear hydraulics and the bucket and all ok. If the bucket is operated by itself, no go. The bucket tilt hydraulics work fine and have no affect on the bucket lifting hydraulics. I kind of saw in another post that the hydraulic pump may get some kind of hydraulic signal to start stroking/pumping that comes from the valve. Could something be wrong with the bucket system signal but the others work? I don't know, just kind of figuring stuff out. Does anyone have any opinions? Also, just doing some research here and saw something about a resolver. Just wondering what those are and what the do in a hydraulic system.(if you hav ethe time)
