D7 M engine head torq specs

Doug I have a 7m we pulled the heads and changed the head gaskets and I cannot find torq specs for the head bolts! there aer two different sizes of bolts and I am assuming they have different specs but don't know. I have torqed them up to 80#s and stopped the rest of the assembly until I get some solid numbers! Please does anyone know what to torq these up to? Thanks Doug
Doug One other thing this is a 1943 model 7m-5830 Thanks Doug

Re: D7 M engine head torq specs

Doug on the D8800 engine the torque specs are as follows:
1. Tighten the 5/8"(15/16"head) nuts numerical sequence to 60 ftlbs.
2. Tighten the 7/8"(1 5/16"head) nuts alphabeticaly to 150 ftlbs
3. Tighten the 7/8" nuts again alphabeticaly to 200 ftlbs.
4. Finish torque the 5/8" nuts to 90 ft lbs

Good luck, as you should be kind of tired by the time your done!

Doug Nick; Thank You for the specs! I'm glad I waited instead of making a guess. My guess was a little lite, I didn't even think it would be no were near 200#s! Thanks Again Doug
