|Don||I bought an early 70s 1740 diesel skidsteer with a broken pulley/shaft on the variable speed pulley drive.
My question is: Can you change it to a hydrostatic drive either by using 1845 parts('74/75 was the first year they came out with the hydrostatic drive)or can you get a aftermarket kit to change over??
|Lee||Just curious what broke on yours?
I also have a 1700 skidsteer where the variable pulley broke. i found a work around to the problem instead of buying the replacement parts which would have run over $1500- parts alone.
|frank||how did you repair it
