David Brown 880 steering shaft worm gear

Darrell I have trouble with my steering on a regular basis, about every three or four years, at 100 hrs a year. The balls come out of the worm gear/collar, and this is causing damage to the end of the worm gear. The tractor was used before I acquired it, and has a lot more hours on it than I have put on it. Are there worm gears out there that are in better shape than mine?
