880 oil recommendation

rick norton I have an 880 selectamatic and need to change the oil. The manual(1965) suggests 20w/30 or 20w/40 but those are not locally available anymore. The local folks here in Ga. all use 15w/40 in their diesel tractors and there are virtually no David Browns around here. Is there a better oil or is 15w/40 is good as any.

robert I have 3 DB,s and 15/40 is fine. I am in the south
also and you can run straight 30wt because we don,t get cold enough to need the thin oil to start.I like Shell Rotella .
