Case 780CK Thumb...Can it be done?

Isaac Does anyone here have any idea if a thumb can or even should be attatched to a Case 780CK backhoe? The bucket measures 55" from the bucket pin to the tips of the teeth! I was told by a major thumb manufacturer that with that size bucket, I would need a 50" thumb that weighs 650 pounds! This is the size thumb for an excavator! It seems like it would be a little too much to me? What do you think? (My wife in picture stands 4'6" for comparison)

AJ An excavator thumb would be a bit of an overkill, I think a thumb for the 580 size machine would work fine.
