Case 530 Triple Range Transmission oil

Mark530 Have a 530 triple range that has water in transmission & differential. The oil in it smells like 80/90 gear oil. What is the correct or equivalent oil for this tractor? Read some old messages and there was a 20 at & 80/90 mentioned.
My plan was to flush with fuel oil.
Any help is appreciated,thanks.
Mark

AJ Two different oils listed for the 530,for the diff and transmission.SAE 90W gear oil,(15 quarts)for the torque tube and hyd reservoir with standard clutch,(16 quarts)with a torque converter (12 quarts)of Case TCH fluid, the steering and pto take the same fluid, you can flush out the compartments with diesel, best not to run the engine, check the rubber boots on the gear shifts as the water is getting in someplace.

Mark530 Thanks AJ planned on taking top of transmission off and resealing it, also the boot is going to be sealed and zip tied. Don't have the torque converter, just manual clutch.
Thanks for your help.

Mark530 AJ,
I dumped a 5 gallon can of fuel in the transmission and never touched the dip stick. When I drained the old oil I think there was between 7-8 gallons, it was kind of high on the stick. I did come across the 15 quarts in TractorData.com under 530 ck also. Odd that the capacity is that far off. They fuel didn't run all over the floor anyway.
Thanks again
Mark

AJ That looks as if there is only the one oil in the two compartments, and it seems more logical, nearly all tractors of that era shared the transmission oil for the hydraulic lift,i.e. gear oil,I would be using the gear oil.
AJ

Mark530 AJ,
The transmission and rear end are for sure two compartment's with a common fill and drain plugs. Do you think they meant the transmission and the rear end both hold about 15 quarts each, that would make more sense. The hydraulics have a section between the engine and transmission with it's own dipstick and drain plug. There are hoses run back from that section to the 3 point lift cylinder and the auxiliary hydraulic couplers. There was some water and gunk left in the transmission and rear end when I drained the fuel oil out tonight. It was a pinkish color. Thanks for your help. Mark

Re: Case 530 Triple Range Transmission oil

The operators hand book says the torque tube 16 quarts of TCH fluid for the standard clutch ,the diff/transmission 15 quarts of SAE 90W gear oil.
