alvin yellow horn where is the hydrolic filter for a david brown 1212, how do you change it
AJ
Re: DB 1212

I take it yours is not a Selectomatic, the hydraulic system has a strainer inside the transmission housing, this strainer is accessed by removing the plate underneath, drain the oil and remove the hoses connected the upside down hat, take out the retaining bolts and remove the hat,the strainer comes out with it,beside the drain plug is another plug inside it is a small replaceable filter, see drawing,if there is an external filter its at the back,it has a replacable element, screw off the bowl and change the filter,The CaseIH number for that element and seal is K210049,Napa FIL1694,the small filter is a CaseIH K205972, it does not interchange with Napa, there is a David Brown tractor club with a world wide following at dbtc.co.uk,the guys there are the bees knees on DB's
Good luck
