Do I have a 580D or E?

Andrew Durden My organization just purchased a (well) used Case backhoe. The stickers all say that it is a 580E, and it has the brown cab native to the E. However, the metal ID plate says that it is a 580D. The backhoe that this one replaced is a 580D, but the new one is slightly different, especially the engine. The previous owner claims that it is a D, but was built during the transition from D to E and was mislabeled. Does anyone know if this was known to have occurred? It is a very nice machine and runs well. We are going to change all of the fluids and filters, but I have to find out what I'm dealing with!
AJ The 580D had the Case 207 engine, the E has the Cummins 4/390,best thing is give the serial number to your dealer and have them tell you what you got.
