Case 580m High idle low throttle
| Vincent | 580m turbo under 800 hours on machine. idles at about 1400 rpm when I floor the pedal or the lever in the back I only get about 1800 rpm. I disconnected the cable from the pump/carb and tried to eliminate the cable but it's some kind of governor that pushes back. I soaked the cable with WD from all ends the cable doesn’t have a lot of throw. I don't know if that’s normal. Could anyone help in the process of elimination here? Replacing the cable looks like no fun. Thank you.

| AJ | What machine have you got, series 1,2 or 3,the normal setup for a manual throttle is the cable pulls the throttle lever on the pump against an adjustable stop that is usually set and sealed when the pump on the test bench, determine that the cable is pulling the arm,the other things that could be slowing the engine is faulty on/off solenoid, dirty filters, system drawing air, feed pump weak,800hrs is less than 6 months work done.
