fuel injectors

D. Wilkerson Please tell me how to remove the fuel injectors on a 1983 580G rubber tire backhoe.
AJ The 580G is built with a David Brown 219 engine,to change the injectors is straight forward, take off the injector pipes, keep dirt from getting into them, care is needed when undoing/tightening the leak off pipe from the top of the injectors and the unions that connect to it,use two wrenches undoing the union nuts otherwise the pipe will twist and crack, undo the two nuts that hold the injector in place, withdraw the injectors one at a time making sure the copper washer that goes underneath comes out with it,new washers will come with the new injectors, turn the engine over on the starter and that will blow the holes clean, fit the new injectors and tighten the nut up evenly, the torque is 12 Lb Ft,if you don't have a torque wrench a nice nip with a rachet will be ok,put on the pipes and check for leaks.
