The company i work for just bought a 580 c backhoe my problem is.I need to know what year it was made its in fairly good shape on the roll cage i found these numbers 5527667 i am assumeing this is the serial nu.i cannot find any other nu on the unit even the engine tag is missing its supposed to be under the starter.

Case uses several serial numbers on their equipment,the basic machine should have a serial # plate at the left hand door,the transmission,engine,backhoe and bucket will all have a number,Google for Casece parts to get the online parts catalogue,type in 580C,when the machine comes up there is a drawing of where all the serial numbers are located,get the numbers and ask your dealer to look it up for a build date,it's about 30 years old.
