Case 970 -Shuttle Valve Kit
|Dusty||Will a Shuttle Valve Kit help a jerking clutch in a Case 970 with PowerShift?
|LB|| You may have to replace the C-2 modulator point and spring. Remove the modulator assy. ( back end of clutch spool.) The point assy will have two springs one light, one heavy with a washer between the springs. I have seen the washer break causing that problem. It may also help to over extend the springs a little. As you let out the clutch pedal the springs compress and increase clutch pressure till tractor starts to move. But if you have leakage on the C-2 clutch in the powershift it will be jumpy because oil has to overcome the leak before it will be able engage the clutch pack.
