Case JX65 won't start
| Ken | JX 65 Case won't start. Possibly it is one of the safety solenoids? Tractor worked fine sat for 2 weeks. Turn ignition on insturment panel lights no clicking to Starter. Checked all fuses including 80 a for starter, all AOK. Batter is good and load tests fine. Chcked for ground on battery and this is good as well. Found the park brake solenoid and it seems to work AOK beeps like it is supposed too. PTO engage lever seems to work AOK lights when engaged and goes off when disengaged. Forward Reverse shuttle shift has a solenoid at its base and I don't know how to check or remove this manual sucks. |
| AJ | Had to look at the parts drawing to see where the safety switch is located,it looks as if the left pedal has to be depressed for it to close and excite the starter, with the key on one wire going to that switch should be hot, when the pedal is pressed the switch will close and the starter should engage,I cannot see by the parts draweing if there is a relay but it states that the safety switch is 35amp so maybe there is no relay. | DENNIS | If it is a earlay jx model it will have a saftey switch on the fwd/rev shifter it was removed on the later models. It shold also have a starter relay under the hood in fuse box.
