case 580c

jesse grimes hey guys ive got a 580c that i've got to move 365 miles to my farm i have a 5 ton trailer to move it with realizing that it most defiently wouldnt be able to move the machine as it is (cab 74inch front 24inch back not extendahoe) so i got out my handy dandy manual and it says the machines operating weight is 11,177 which includes the same buckets as mine but with rops and a 175 operator so whats i was thinking was if i was to remove the entire backhoe and front bucket bring that to the farm on one trip then come back and pick up just the tractor its self with no backhoe or front bucket do you think it would be light enough for the trailer? how much do you think the backhoe itself weighs? the trailer has two wet axles under it.
AC WHISKEY BORROW OR RENT A LARGER TRAILER SAVE YOURSELF AGGRAVATION MOVE IT IN ONE SHOT
jesse no i wanna do it myself no bardering or owing people or money
John Roseland Jesse, You may not be able to load the backhoe with your 580 after you remove the backhoe without adding some kind of weight to the rear of the tractor. If loading it that way is what you have in mind. Removing the front bucket and using just the loader arms will help lighten the front end while loading the backhoe attachment. Perhaps you have an other way in mind to load the attachments. I see you replied to AC that you don't want to rent or borrow a heavier trailer. Your second trip is going to cost a lot of money considering the price of fuel . Keep in mind you will lose expensive hydraulic oil when removing the backhoe. Be careful moving the backhoe when it is off the tractor they can be very dangerous if the hydraulic cylinders open or close on their own ! Also you have to reconnect your hydraulic hoses on the tractor in the proper way in order to be able to even run the tractor. Good Luck !!
