Case 1030 won't go in reverse

Robert My dad's case 1030 was doing great when rolling hay, then all of the sudden the tactor would not go in reverse. You can put it in reverse, but when you go to let the clutch out it really bogs the engine down and makes a grinding sound like something is binding. We noticed that we could hear the same noise occasionaly when going forward. If anyone could shed some light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Rawleigh Your shift fork may be worn, loose or bent allowing reverse and one forward gear to engage at the same time.
