580C Loader spool leaking
|Dave||I have 580C that has the loader lift spool leaking .It is the eye on the end of the spool that the lever connects to,my book says that it is not serviced .Is there any way to repair this .
|AJ||The spool and block are a matched set,you should only need the o'ring's,take off the lever and clean around the spool valve, unscrew the valve cap underneath the valve, gently move the valve down, pick out the wiper seal and then the o'ring out of its groove, put in the new o'ring and wiper seal, put some clean hyd oil on them and push the spool up and put on the cap on the bottom.connect the lever and you'r done.
I unscrewed the eye out of the spool and replaced the oring ,I did not realize that it came apart .
