NAA Jubilee relay/solenoid

Jim My Jubilee is now 12v and I have ordered a new relay that specs indicate is 6v. Will it work w/o overloading? I tried two from auto parts stores and neither worked with ground side starter plunger on top of trans cover. At this time I do not want to add a positive side button or key starter. as you know with factory system tractor will not start in gear
Jim Loveridge Jim, Just happend to spot this today. You should be posting this on the N series forum down below the antique fourm here.

You need a solonoid or relay for a late, 40's or early 50's Ford product. They were all 6 volt and positive ground. As for overloading it, I don't know. I would think that the relay winding wouldn't last as long is all.

Did you install a conversiion kit?

Bob G A 6 volt solenoid will work just fine.
