Farmall Fast Hitch Plow Problem - 130
|Donald Wright||Purchased Farmall 130 with single point fast hitch. Installed the plow and I cannot get the point to dig in. The plow, when lowered, sets level or slightly pointed up. Looks like the front of the single point fast hitch needs to be lower. Please HELP !!
I saw in the parts book a long Draft Link Rod that looks like it would attach to the front of the fast hitch (where it is now connected to the tractor) and extend up to the front hydraulics for adjustment. Is this what I am Missing? Please HELP !!
have a friend here in georgia with draft link if you are interested in purchasing such. best way to contact me is through my office in hartwell-look me up on the internet-
|Susannah L.||My father, who responded above, has a friend who has fast hitch equip for sale. His friend also machined a copy of my Dad's draft link. He's willing to sell it if you are interested.
|John Thomas||The long rod that attaches to the fast hitch also attaches to the front hydraulics. Moving this rod up or down will tilt the front of the plow so that it will dig in. It takes alittle trial and error to get it right but soon you will be plowing level. Also, any equipment that attaches to the fast hitch (disc harrow or lift type planter) willrequire the same rod. I hope this has been helpful to you.
