|dan||I have a 12HP Jacobsen Homelite Tractor from the late 80s that did not run when I got it. I put a new 12V battery in it and got headlights for a few seconds but never got it to crank. Did I do a bad thing and put a 12V battery in a 6V system? If so, what did I likely wreck (starter, starter solenoid, bubls, etc). IF not, any idea what my problem might be?
