Trying to find out what year make and model Alis Chamber tractor I have

I have a old model tractor that I'm wanting to restore but I don't know what year make or model it is. How can I go about finding a serial number or something that would tell me where to start. I've attached a picture of it. |
| Jeff Z. | It is an Allis Chalmers. Looks like a B. Look on the top of the transmission behind the shifter for a serial number. It will start with a letter. That letter will be the model.
