WD Stuck Brake
| Delbert Shanle | I have a 1953 WD Allis with a broken brake rod that runs from pedal to rear housing. It has broken off inside axle housing and that wheel won't turn. What is the procedure to get that wheel to release so that it can be moved inside to get fixed. Thanks |
| Jeff Z. | You will probably have to remove the shoes. Remove top brake cover and release springs and give it a try. If now luck on the lower side of the transmission housing you will have to try to remove the brake shoe anchor pin. Not always a plesant job and then remove the shoes. Remove front shoe first. I think if you get the springs off you may be able to get it inside. |
| Delbert Shanle | Thanks Jeff. Do i have to remove wheel or can i get to it from the back side. This is my first attempt at a restore. Thanks |
