B 110 Axel and Hub

Last week, the key holding the left rear wheel assembly to the axle of my trusty B110 failed. When I took off the wheel and hub to replace the key, I found that the hole for accepting the second set screw that should sit about 85 degrees from the the key way was located about 180 degrees on the other side of the axle. The hub that I have matches the one in shown in the B110 schematic I got from my local dealer. Am I missing something or did they drill the hole in the axle in the wrong place. I've had this machine since 1975 and the wheel never came off. And I don't see any marks on the axel that indicate the other set screw was actually holding it in place. I'm now running it with a 1 and 1/4" flat set screw and no problems for the first couple of hours.

Any body have a thought?
