air condition pump

Jaye Air Condition pump pressure plate went to pot. Pump is fine but can buy a pump cheaper than buy the clutch. So closed off system and am going to just replace the pump. But how much oil should I put into the pump? I am thinking 4 oz. Any body have a guess.
